Longevity Poem

His Cousin Betty. [A novel.]

Life is long but yet it’s not,
Memories fade while others are lost,
Time flys by but can go slow,
Leaves will fall when Autumn blows.

People smile and others cry,
Some give life while other die,
Flowers open but eventually wilt,
Ruins are left of things once built.

Loved ones leave while new love grows,
Feelings melt as empathy snows,
Hands Intwine over tears that stumble,
The clock keeps ticking be brave and humble<

Never regret a thing you do,
Paths in life for things you choose,
Take their hands while I take yours,
Help your mother do her chores,

Sadness is tiring, so laugh a lot,
As life is long but yet it’s not.
